Celebrate NYR: Snap It! Photography Competition

Where do you like to read? Where have you seen people reading? What is the most unusual place you have read in or seen someone else reading in?

Our Snap It! Photography Competition may be for you.

Closing dated extended until Friday 17th August.

This is easy to enter. We want to see where you like to read.

All you have to do is to photograph yourself or someone else reading.

There will be a major prize for the “best” photograph, judged on both creativity and technical merit, and a prize for the most unusual place for reading.

The photographs will also be displayed in the library so our students and staff can vote in the People’s Choice Award.

Conditions of entry: 

  1. The competition is open to all students enrolled at Whitefriars College.
  2. The photo must be original, unpublished and created by one person.
  3. The photo must be of a standard that can be viewed by the general public.
  4. The winning photo will be the best one of yourself or someone reading & will be judged on both creativity & technical merit.
  5. An additional prize will be awarded for the most unusual place.
  6. Entries must be completed and submitted by 4pm Friday 10th August 2012.
  7. There will also be a  Peoples Choice Award which will be judged by the student & staff body & voting closes for this on Friday 31st August 2012.
  8. Shortlist announced on Friday 17th August 2012.
  9. Winners announced Monday 10th September 2012.
  10. Please submit photos to us in both digital & hardcopy format.
