I am looking forward to two new releases that will be out in cinemas soon.
If you get to see either or both of these movies, we would love to know what you think.
Firstly John Carter based on the book The Princess of Mars published in 1912 and written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the creator of Tarzan. Burroughs highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. Yes you know the those very popular sci-fi films I mean?
This is a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris. In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands. In cinemas on the 8th March.
This looks so good I am posting two trailers for it
Secondly is the long-awaited The hunger games movie based on the first book in the Hunger games trilogy written by Suzanne Collins. In cinemas on the 22nd of March.
And for those of you still left on this earth who have not read the book check out the synopsis on this website
Both books can be borrowed from the library
The hunger games is in big demand so you may have to reserve it and we are waiting for copies of John Carter to arrive
