The Master by Colm Toibin

Why that book?

Because I loved the previous book I read which was also written by Toibin and a friend recommended this as my next Toibin read.

What’s it about?

It is a story about the struggles of an artist. In this case the artist is the writer, Henry James, and it is written in the first person (so James is the narrator).

Has it lived up to your expectations?

It is a story wonderfully rich in detail and creates a very vivid and authentic sense of the time and the people and places.

Would you recommend it to others?

I think anyone who read any of this author’s novels would want to go on and read everything he has ever written!

What’s it about?

How Harry finally beats Voldemort

Has it lived up to your expectations?

Yes

Would you recommend it to others?

Yes

Thankyou, Mr Biggins and Mrs Scarmozzino, for sharing your reading with us.

  1. The Deathly Hallows is one very big books which will eventually be made into two films. I’m not going to tell you what happens; you’ll just have to read the book! The Deathly Hallows are 3 magical objects which are important to the plot. No more clues!
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment.

  2. Isn’t there two parts to Harry Potter & ‘The Deathly Hallows’??? OR is it packed into one book??? I know the movie is split into two parts. But what about the book. Is there a part I & part II???
Btw: Can you spoil it for just me and tell me how Harry defeats him???
P.S Do you know why they call it ‘The Deathly Hallows’???
