The National Year of Reading is in full swing and we are enjoying all the exciting events. One special NYR program is the Public Library Membership Drive which runs from May until August. Libraries offer more resources and services than books. If you’ve never been a public library member, take a look, and if you haven’t been into your library for a while, take a fresh look at what they have to offer.
A new library app for iphones and ipads ‘The Love2read library app’, is free to download and allows you to locate and interact with your nearest library. As a resident of Victoria you’re welcome to join any Victorian public library service.
We’ll be featuring a public library each month and begin with Whitehorse Manningham Library Service. Whitehorse Manningham Libraries have branches in Blackburn, Box Hill, Bulleen, Doncaster, Nunawading, The Pines, Vermont South and Warrandyte.
